ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
CITY COUNCIL
Mayor Kramer called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the San Juan Capistrano
City Council to order at 10:11 a.m. in the City Council Chamber. Mayor pro tem Taylor
led the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL
COUNCIL MEMBERS/DIRECTORS PRESENT: Laura Freese, Derek Reeve,
Sam Allevato, Mayor pro tem John Taylor and Mayor Larry Kramer
COUNCIL MEMBERS/DIRECTORS ABSENT: None
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None
DISCUSSION ITEMS:
1. LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH HAMILTON OAKS VINEYARD & WINERY FOR
A WINE TASTING AND SPECIAL EVENTS VENUE AT THE HISTORIC
ROGER Y. WILLIAMS-SWANNER HOUSE ON A 2.6 ACRE PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 29943 CAMINO CAPISTRANO, APPROVED (600.30)
Grant Taylor, Development Services Director, provided a PowerPoint
presentation and responded to questions.
• Public Comments: Ron Tamez, Hamilton Oaks Vineyard & Winery, Inc.
Council Action: Moved by Mayor pro tem Taylor, seconded by
Council Member Freese, and carried unanimously to approve a License
Agreement with Hamilton Oaks Vineyard & Winery for a Wine Tasting and
Special Events Venue at the Historic Y. Williams-Swanner House on a 2.6 acre
property located at 29943 Camino Capistrano; including the following: 1) add the
following language under Section 1. Renewal Term — ...unless Licensee provides
notice of non -renewal to Licensor at least 980 days prior to the expiration of the
Original Term. 2) add the following language to Section 3. Permissible Uses —
Licensee may install a sign on the water tower subfect to review by the Design
Review Committee and final approval by the City Council. Licensee shall further
submit for Licensor's approval a Parking Management Plan for events at the
premises.

PUBLIC HEARING SCHEDULED FOR JUNE 19, 2012
Cindy Russell, Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer, narrated a slide presentation
and responded to questions.
Public Comments: Mark Bodenhamer, Chamber of Commerce.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business, Mayor Kramer adjourned the meeting at 2:29 p.m. to
the Adjourned Regular Meeting of Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at 4:00 p.m. for an
Adjourned Regular meeting; and then to Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at 5:00 p.m. for Closed
Sessjgn„an46:00 p.m. for a public Business Session, in the City Council Chamber.
