SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO CITY COUNCIL
Special Meeting
Mayor Kramer called the Special Meeting of the City Council to order at
4:34 p.m. in the City Council Chamber.
ROLL CALL
COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Laura Freese, Derek Reeve (Council Member Reeve
arrived after the Roll Call), Sam Allevato, Mayor pro tem John Taylor and
Mayor Larry Kramer.
COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: None
ORAL COMMUNICATION/PUBLIC COMMENT ON CLOSED SESSION ITEMS: None
CLOSED SESSION (610.85)
A Closed Session was held for the following purposes, as authorized by statute:
a. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957, the City Council conducted a
public employee performance evaluation of the City Manager.
b. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(c), the City Council as
Successor Agency for the Former San Juan Capistrano Redevelopment Agency
conferred with legal counsel pertaining to one potential item for initiation of
litigation.
c. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(c), the City Council conferred
with legal counsel pertaining to one potential item for initiation of litigation.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF CLOSED SESSION ACTIONS:
Omar Sandoval reported the City Council authorized counsel to intervene in San Diego
Gas and Electric's proceedings before the California Public Utilities Commission for
their application for public convenience and necessity for the South Orange County
Reliability Enhancement Project.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business, Mayor Kramer adjourned the meeting to
Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. for a public Business Session, in the City Council
Chamber.
