It is a policy of the City Council that No Parking -- Street Sweeping signs may be
installed at various locations where parking inhibits the efficient operation of street cleaning
machines. No Parking -- Street Cleaning zones must extend a minimum of one full block.
Request for the installation of No Parking -- Street Sweeping signs shall be by petition
directed to the Engineering and Building Services Department and will be processed for
approval only if (1) a significant majority of the residents or homeowners of the affected
side of the street have signed and, (2) curbs and gutters exist along the entire zone.
