It is a policy of the City Council that street sweeping on private streets shall be
conducted by the homeowner’s association at their expense. The homeowner’s
association may contract with a private firm for street sweeping services. Parking and
traffic enforcement by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department on private streets may only
be conducted after a request for such enforcement has been made by the homeowner’s
association, and upon adoption of a resolution by the City Council. The resolution shall
state that the application of the California Vehicle Code shall apply to those private streets.
The homeowner’s association shall post the appropriate signs giving notice of the
aforesaid.
