SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO CITY COUNCIL
ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
BUSINESS SESSION:
Mayor Patterson called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of May 18, 2016, of the
City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano to order at 5:12 p.m. in the
City Council Chamber. Council Member Allevato led the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL:
COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Pam Patterson, Esq., Mayor pro tem
Kerry K. Ferguson, and Council Members Derek Reeve, John M. Perry and
Sam Allevato.
COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: None .
Agenda items are presented in the originally agendized format for the benefit of the
minutes' reader, but were not necessarily heard in that order.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS:
• Monique Rea, City resident; and Donna Fleming, City resident.
PUBLIC HEARING:
C1 . PUBLIC HEARING CONDUCTED AND DIRECTION GIVEN TO CITY'S
DEMOGRAPHER FOR DISTRICT BOUNDARIES FOR CITY COUNCIL
DISTRICT ELECTIONS-NO FORMAL ACTION TAKEN (630.20)
Cristina Talley, Legal Counsel, provided an agenda report, and responded to
questions. Karin Mac Donald and Jaime Clark, Q2 Data & Research, LLC,
provided a PowerPoint Presentation, including a "live" map drawing process for
modification of the preliminary draft district map.
Mayor Patterson opened the public hearing and invited public testimony .
• Public Testimony: Dennis Alekel, City resident; Kathy Hooper,
City resident; Tom Scott, Camino Real Playhouse; Anna Dickinson,
City resident; Todd Mason, City resident; Monique Rea, City resident;
Steve Behmerwohld, City resident; Tina Auclair, City resident; and
Joe Soto, City resident.
Mayor Patterson closed the public hearing .

ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business Mayor Patterson adjourned the meeting at 7:27 p.m.
to Monday, May 23, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. for a Budget Workshop; and then to
Monday, June 6, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. for Closed Session, and 5:00 p.m. for the public
Busines Sessi n, in the City Council Chamber .
