ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
Mayor Reeve called the February 10, 2015, Adjourned Regular Meeting of the
San Juan Capistrano City Council to order at 5:04 p.m. in the City Council Chamber.
Mayor Reeve led the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL:
COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Sam Allevato, Kerry K. Ferguson, Mayor pro tem
Pam Patterson, Esq. and Mayor Derek Reeve.
COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: None,
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS:
® Ilse Byrnes, City resident, and, Boots Leone, City resident.
Failed Motion: Moved by Mayor pro tem Patterson, seconded by Council Member
Ferguson and carried 1-3, with Mayor Reeve, Council Member Allevato and Council
Member Ferguson opposed to limit public speakers for item C1 to one (1) minute.

CREATED BY THE RETIREMENT OF FORMER COUNCIL MEMBER BYRNES

• Public Correspondences: Due to the high volume of correspondences
received, correspondences are available for review at the City Clerk's Office,
and are also available as correspondence to the Agenda Report on the City's
website.
Maria Morris, City Clerk, provided an Agenda report. Hans Van Ligten,
City Attorney responded to questions.
Moved by Mayor pro tem Patterson, seconded by Council Member Ferguson,
motion failed 1-3, with Mayor Reeve, Council Member Ferguson and
Council Member Allevato opposed to limit public speakers to one (1) minute,
if more than ten (10) Requests to Speak slips have been received.

Council Action: Moved by Mayor pro tem Patterson, seconded by Council
Member Ferguson, and carried 3-1 with Council Member Allevato opposed to
appoint John M. Perry to fill the remainder term for the City Council vacancy
created by the retirement of former Council Member Byrnes.
