SUBJECT: 1991-92 Memorandum of Understanding with District
Management Employees
SITUATION
Negotiations with the District's Management Employees for the 1991-
92 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has resulted in an MOU with
the same basic financial costs as the MOU presented for the City of
San Juan Capistrano Management Employees. The MOU provides the
following:
• Average salary increase of 2.2%
• Increases in the retirement contribution by the District
averaging 2.7%
• Picks up additional health insurance costs, but limits
costs to the EPO rates
• Provides the same vacation schedule as City management
employees
The MOU is attached.
FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS
The proposed MOU results in a cost to the District of approximately
$3,748 more than contained in the 1991-92 Budget for Salary and
Medical Insurance Increases. These funds are available in the
District's unallocated operating fund balance.
ALTERNATE ACTION
1. Approve the 1991-92 Memorandum of Understanding with the
District's Management Employees and authorize the
Chairman to sign the Memorandum.
2. Request additional information from the staff.
RECOMMENDATION
By motion, approve the 1991-92 Memorandum of Understanding with the
District's Management Employees and authorize the Chairman to sign
the Memorandum.
