1987-0901_CVWD MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES_Memorandum of Understanding1987-88 MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING between CAPISTRANO VALLEY WATER DISTRICT and CAPISTRANO VALLEY WATER DISTRICT MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES WHEREAS, the District's General Manager and authorized representatives of the District's Management Employees have met and conferred in good faith and have reached a mutual understanding concerning certain Employer-Employee matters. NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed by the duly authorized District and Management Employee representatives that the following shall constitute their Memorandum of Understanding for the period of time commencing July 1, 1987 through June 30, 1988. 1. Recognition Management Employees shall consist of permanent fulltime employees in the following classifications: Executive Management Class Controller Customer Service Manager District Engineer Management Class Secretary to the General Manager 2. Salary The District will provide a cost of living salary increase of four percent (4%) to all Management Class employees, and five percent (5%) to all Executive Management Class employees, effective July 1, 1987. The four percent (4%) and five percent (5%) salary increases shall be implemented by advancing each employee eight (8) and ten (10) code steps on the Basic Compensation Plan, respectively. Health Plan Benefits The District will continue to pay the full cost of health plan benefits for both the employee and dependents. The new health plan provider shall be the Principal Financial Group. 4. Optional Benefit Plan The Optional Benefit Plan shall be continued and shall allocate Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) to each Management Employee as of July 1, 1987, which may be used for the following wellness-related activities: Health club memberships, exercise or other stress-reduction classes, weight loss or smoking clinics, personal exercise equipment, or other uses not specifically named herein which may be approved by the General Manager. The employee shall state in writing his/her intended use of the funds and, upon approval by the General Manager or his designee, shall present a receipt for reimbursement or a bill for payment. 5. Continuation of Benefits All fringe benefits previously granted and currently in effect to represented employees shall remain in full force and effect for fiscal year 1987-88, notwithstanding other provisions of this Memorandum. 6. Separability The provisions contained in this Memorandum have been bargained for and agreed to independently and no particular clause, condition, or agreement is contingent or dependent upon any other; therefore, should any such clause, condition, or agreement be held to be void or unenforceable, the remainder of the terms and conditions of this Memorandum shall remain in full force and effect. y CAPISTRANO VALLEY WATER DISTRICT 1987-88 MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES Page Three 7. Term of Memorandum This Memorandum of Understanding shall be in effect from July 1, 1987 to June 30, 1988. DATED this 1st day of September, 1987.
