ACCEPTING IRREVOCABLE OFFER
COLINAS DE CAPISTRANO OPEN SPACE
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE
IRREVOCABLE OFFER FOR OPEN SPACE AND TRAIL
EASEMENTS IN THE COLINAS DE CAPISTRANO AREA
WHEREAS, the City of San Juan Capistrano has a long-standing policy for
ridgeline preservation and has included the Colinas de Capistrano ridgeline in the General
Plan as a ridgeline of significance; and,
WHEREAS, the City is vitally interested in the viewshed afforded by the
Colinas de Capistrano ridgeline and bluffs; and,
WHEREAS, the City has agreed to provide responsible local stewardship of this
open space area; and,
WHEREAS, the County and Harbors, Beaches and Parks District have
quitclaimed and transferred certain open space and trail easements, offers of open space
easement dedication, and offers of fee simple open space land dedication to the City, per
Transfer of Open Space Agreement dated February 23, 1988; and,
WHEREAS, these open space land areas have been annexed to the City of San
Juan Capistrano; and,
WHEREAS, the City of San Juan Capistrano is a successor in interest to the
offers of dedication described herein; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that the irrevocable offer to
dedicate open space lands and trail easements should be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
San Juan Capistrano, does hereby accept the following irrevocable offers:
Those certain interests for open space, recreation, trail, scenic preservation
and/or resource preservation, passive recreation and related purposes in the County of
Orange, State of California, as offered (both in fee and easement) to said County by the
following documents recorded in Miscellaneous Maps (M.M.) or Official Records (O.R.) in
the Office of the County Recorder of said County:
