ORDINANCE NO. 195
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO AMENDING SECTION 16-G
OF ORDINANCE NO. 171 RELATING TO VENDING AND
LAUNDRY MACHINERY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO HEREBY
ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 16-G of Ordinance No. 171 shall be, and
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Every person engaged in, managing, conducting or carrying
on the business of leasing, letting the use of, renting
or maintaining any vending machine or devise dispensing
tangible products not otherwise licensed underthisthis
ordinance, and not prohibited by law, or in the renting,
leasing, or operating of laundry equipment, whether or
not coin operated, shall pay a business license fee
based on the gross receipts thereof or therefrom as
follows:
a. Vending machines dispensing any tangible product -
$25.00 per annum on the first $5,000.00 of gross
receipts and an additional $1.00 for each
$1,000.00 of annual gross receipts over $5,000.00.
b. Pool tables, juke boxes and related similar amuse-
ment and entertainment devices - $25.00 per unit.
C. Kiddie rides and similar entertainment and amuse-
ment devices for children - $10.00 per unit.
d. Laundry and drying machines and equipment:
$12.50 - $1,000 - 5,000
25.00 - 5,001.- 7,500
50.00 - 7,501 - 10,000
75.00 - 10,001 - 15,000
100.00 - 15,001 - 25,000
125.00 - OVER - 25,000
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
thirty (30) days from and after its passage.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this Ordinance by the City Council of the City of San
Juan Capistrano at a regular meeting thereof held on the
day of August, 1972, and shall cause the same to be published in
the Coastline Dispatch within fifteen (15) days after its passage.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of August, 1972,
by the following vote, to wit:
