Ordinance Number 184297 ORDINANCE NO. 184 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE 1971-1972 FISCAL YEAR AND APPRO- PRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR The City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano does hereby ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Pursuant to the provision of Section 37208 of the Government Code that certain document entitled "Preliminary Budget Estimates for the City of San Juan Capistrano for the Fiscal Year 1971- 1972," on file in the office of the City Clerk, is hereby approved as the budget for the City of San Juan Capistrano for the fiscal year 1971-1972 to the extent of the totals set forth for each function in the General Fund, the total set forth for bond redemption and interest requirement, the totals set forth for each capital improvement project and the totals set forth for each of the various other funds. SECTION 2. The following sums are hereby appropriated from each of the following funds for the purpose of carrying on the business of the City: GENERAL FUND AMOUNT General Government $ 142,962 Public Safety 175,262 Public Works 185,891 Non -Departmental 229,970 Capital Improvements 176,940 Parks,& Recreati_on, 4J Total - $—'-4 42770216 , Bond Redemption & Interest Fund $ 83,747 State Gasoline Tax Fund 185,800 Traffic Safety Fund - 20,000 Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund 2,214,400 Municipal Sewers Fund 58,798 Total All Funds $ 3,478,471 SECTION 3. The City Manager, upon recommendation of the Finance Director, may transfer funds within, but not between, each of the functional appropriations of the General Fund as required to achieve the purpose of this function. SECTION 4. The Council, from time to time, by motion or resolution, may approve and authorize the payment of non -budgeted demands from appropriated funds, and may appropriate funds for budge- ted or non -budgeted items, and any such appropriation for a non - budgeted item shall constitute an approval to issue a warrant in payment of a proper demand or demands therefor. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall cause this ordinance to be published once within 15 days after its passage, in the Coastline Dispatch, a newspaper of general circulation, as required by Section 136933 of the Government Code; shall certify to the adoption and pub- lication of this Ordinance; and shall cause this Ordinance and his certification,together with proof of publication, to be entered in the Book of Ordinances of this City. SECTION 6. This Ordinance, being an ordinance relat- ing to taxesfor the usual and current expenses of the City, shall become effective and in full force immediately upon its passage.
