ORDINANCE NO. 155
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN
CAPISTRANO AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 115
RELATING TO OFF-SITE SIGNS FOR MOBILE
HOME PARKS.
The City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano does
hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 5.09.1 PERMITTED SIGNS, is hereby
amended by adding thereto paragraph "Q" to read as follows:
"Q. Off-site temporary (directional) signs used to direct
the traveling public to a qualified mobilehome part within the
City, only in those instances where, in the opinion of the
Planning Commission, said mobilehome park is situated off a
developed arterial or established freeway in such a location
due to topographic features that physically preclude the value of
on-site signs.
Such off-site temporary (directional) signs shall be subject
to the following provisions:
(1) Locations, size and elevations of such signs are
to be approved by the Planning Commission.
(2) A maximum of two (2) signs per qualified mobile
home park, double faced, up to 100 square feet
(maximum) in area each face, pertaining solely
to the identification of, and direction to the
mobilehome park.
(3) Said signs to be removed within six (6) months
from date building permit issued. The Planning
Commission may grant two (2) additional six (6)
months extension pf time provided said request
is considered reasonable.
(4) A cash bond or other security in the amount of
$100.00 shall be deposited with the City for
each sign permitted to assure its removal after
the expiration date. Said deposit shall be made
prior to the issuance of a building permit.
(5) The owners of the sign and the owners of the
property upon which it is proposed to be erected

shall, prior to the issuance of a building
permit, furnish to the City or any of its agents
or employees permission to enter upon the pre-
mises to remove said signs."
SECTION 2. That Section 5.09.2 is hereby amended by
amending paragraph J thereof by adding at the end thereof the
words "and Q."
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published as required
by law, and the same shall take effect as provided by law.
