AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF $AN JUAN
CAPISTRANO, ESTABLISHING AND ADOPTING
BY REFERENCE THE ELECTRICAL CODE OF THE
COUNTY OF ORANGE AS THE ELECTRICAL CODE
OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPIS_TRANO AND
REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 7
The City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano does hereby
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. There is hereby adopted by the City Council of the
City of San Juan Capistrano for the purpose of requiring permits for
and providing rules and regulations governing electrical installations

and wiring, in the City of San Juan Capistrano, that certain Ordinance
of the County of Orange, State of California, known as "ORDINANCE
NO. 2251. AN ORDINANCE REPEALING DIVISION 2 OF TITLE 7 OF THE CODI-
FIED ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF ORANGE, CALIFORNIA, AND ADDING DIVI-
SION 2 TO TITLE 7, ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 1965 EDITION OF THE
NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE INCLUDING THE APPENDIX AND ADOPTING MODIFI-
CATIONS AND AMENDMENTS TO THIS SAID 1965 EDITION OF THE NATIONAL
ELECTRIC CODE." Three (3) copies of said Ordinance and three (3)
copies of said 1965 Edition of the National Electric Code with Appendix
are on file with the City Clerk and are open to public inspection. The
same is hereby adopted and incorporated herein as though fully set
forth in length.
SECTION 2. In the event of any dispute or disagreement as to the
administration of this Ordinance, the determination of the City Council
of the City of San Juan Capistrano shall be final. The City of San
Juan Capistrano reserves the right to waive, upon review and determin-
ation of the City Council, any provision of this ordinance.
SECTION 3. Ordinance No. 7 is hereby repealed, except that any
matters commenced thereunder shall be processed to completion under
its terms.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect within thirty (30)
days and shall be published in the Coastline Dispatch, together with
the names of the City Councilmen voting for and against the same.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 14th day of October, 1968.
