ORDINANCE NO. 143
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN
CAPISTRANO, ESTABLISHING AND ADOPTING
BY REFERENCE THE PLUMBING CODE OF THE
COUNTY OF ORANGE AS THE PLUMBING CODE
OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO AND
REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 8
The City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano does hereby
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. There is hereby adopted by the City Council of the
City of San Juan Capistrano for the purpose of prescribing regulations
for the installation, maintenance, alteration and repair of plumbing
and drainage systems and the inspection thereof, in the City of San
Juan Capistrano, that certain ordinance of the County of Orange, State
of California, known as "ORDINANCE NO. 2250. AN ORDINANCE REPEALING
DIVISION 3 OF TITLE 7 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE COUNTY OF
ORANGE, CALIFORNIA, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF APPENDIX "G", AND ADDING
DIVISION 3 TO TITLE 7 ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 1967 EDITION OF THE
UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, INCLUDING APPENDICES, AND ADOPTING MODIFICATIONS
AND AMENDMENTS TO THIS SAID 1967 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM PLUMBIND CODE."
Three (3) copies of said Ordinance and three (3) copies of said 1967
Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code, including Appendices, are on
file with the City Clerk and are open to public inspection. The same
is hereby adopted and incorporated herein as though fully set forth
in length.
SECTION 2. In the event of any dispute or disagreement as to the
administration of this Ordinance, the determination of the City Council
of the City of San Juan Capistrano shall be final. The City of San
Juan Capistrano reserves the right to waive, upon review and determin-
ation of the City Council, any provision of this ordinance.
SECTION 3. pOrdinance No. 8 is hereby repealed, except that any
matters commenced thereunder shall be processed to completion under
its terms.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect within thirty (30)
days and shall be published in the Coastline Dispatch, together with
the names of the City Councilmen voting for and against the same.
