ORDINANCE NO. 133
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO PRO-
VIDING THAT EACH MEMBER OF THE CITY
COUNCIL SHALL RECEIVE A SALARY AND
FIXING THE AMOUNT THEREOF
The City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano does ordain
as .follows:
SECTION 1. Section 36516 of the Government Code of the State of
California provides, insofar as pertinent hereto, as follows:
"A City Council may enact an ordinance providing that each
member of the City Council shall receive a salary, the amount
of which shall be determined by the following sEhedule:
"(a) In cities up to and including 5,000 in population,
SeventgT-Five Dollars%($75.00) per month".
In connectionwith'the foregoing the City Council of the City of San
Juan Capistrano finds that the population of the City of San Juan
Capistrano is less than 5,000.
SECTION 2. Pursuant to the authority of Section 36516 of the
Government Code of the State of California, the salary of each member
of the City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano is hereby
determined to be Seventy -Five Dollars ($75.00) per month.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
thirty (30) days from and after its passage, and prior to the expir-
ation of fifteen (15) days after the passage thereof, this Ordinance
shall be published once in the .'Coastline Dispatch, a newspaper published
in San Juan Capistrano, County of Orange, State of California, together
with the names of the members of the City Council voting for and against
the same.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 11th day of March, 1968.
