ORDINANCE NO. 130
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO AMENDING SECTION 3 OR ORDIN-
ANCE NO. 62 RELATING TO LITTER.
The City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano does hereby ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 62 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 3: Litter on Public Premises. It shall be unlawful for any person,
firm or corporation to drop, throw or deposit or permit to be dropped, thrown
or deposited into or upon any public street, sidewalk, park or common within
the City of San Juan Capistrano any broken glass, broken wire, rubbish,
garbage, dead animal, offal or filth of any kind. The foregoing includes,
but is not limited, the droppings and excretia of horses, livestock and
other animals and it shall be the duty of any person, firm or corporation
having possession, custody or control of such animals to either avoid such
public streets, sidewalks, parks or commons or immediately to remove and
clean up such droppings and excretia. Litter may be deposited in public
recepticles for collection or in official City or County dumps."
SECTION 2. Except to the extent amended herein, all other provisions of
Ordinance No. 62 shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. The Clerk of the City shall certify to the passage of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the Coastline Dispatch
after its adoption. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days from and
after the date of its final adoption.
