ORANGE AND REPEALING CITY ORDINANCE
NO. 177
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby adopted by the City of San Juan
Capistrano for the purpose of prescribing regulations for the
protection of the public health and safety and establishing mini-
mum regulations for the installation, alteration, design, construe -
tion, quality of materials, location, operation, and maintenance
of heating, ventilating, comfort cooling, refrigeration systems,
incinerators and other miscellaneous heat -producing appliances and
the inspection thereof in the City of San Juan Capistrano, that
certain Ordinance of the County of Orange, State of California,
known as
"ORDINANCE NO. 2739.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF ORANGE, CALIFORNIA,
REPEALING THE 1970 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM BUILD-
ING CODE, VOLU;LS II, KNOWN AS THE UNIFORM MECH-
ANICAL CODE AND ADOPTING THE UNIFORM MFCIIANICAL
CODE, 1973 EDITION, WITH MODIFICATIONS AND AMEND -
PENIS THERETO.'
The 1973 edition of the "Uniform Mechanical Code" including the Ap-
pendix thereto which are on file with the City Clerk are open to
public inspection. The same is hereby adopted and incorporated herein
as though fully set forth in length.
SFCTION 2. In the event of any dispute or disagreement
as to the administration of this Ordinance the determination of
the Ci. ty Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano shall be

SECTION 3. Ordinance No. 177 is hereby repealed, except
that any matters commenced thereunder shall be processed to
completion under its terms.
SECTION 4. Before the expiration of fifteen days after
the passage thereof, this ordinance shall be published once in
a newspaper of general circulation, together with the names of
the City Council voting for and against the same.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7th day of August, 1974,
by the following vote, to wit:
