Ordinance Number 24637 ORDINANCE NO. 246 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 245 RELATING TO CAMPAIGN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 5 0£ Ordinance No. 245 is hereby amended to read as follows: Expenditures Statement. Elected candidates to municipal public office shall file with the City Clerk a written declaration of his total campaign expenditures within 25 days after the election, or not later than the day preceding the day upon which the candidate takes office, whichever occurs first. An elected candidate for municipal public office need not file an expenditure statement if the lawful receipts and expenses of his campaign do not exceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500). However, elected candidates shall file a written declaration with the City Clerk to that effect if their campaign receipts and expenses do not exceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500). SECTION 2. This ordinance relates to an election and shall take effect immediately, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days after the passage thereof shall be published once- in a newspaper of general circulation.
