GRADING CODE FEES
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO,
CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A GRADING PERMIT FEE
SCHEDULE AND AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 180
(URGENCY)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA,
DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Recitations.
a. The City of San Juan Capistrano has heretofore
adopted by reference Ordinance No. 2488 of the
County of Orange which in turn adopted the Uniform
Building Code, 1970 Edition with certain exceptions
and amendments thereto.
b. Effective July 1, 1978, the City of San Juan
Capistrano will undertake the administration of
all functions relating to the issuance of permits
and enforcement of ordinances relating to building
and safety.

That portion of County of Orange Ordinance No. 2488
adopted by City of San Juan Capistrano Ordinance No. 180 and
appearing as a part of Section 7-1-835 of the Codified Ordinances
of the County of Orange and setting forth the grading permit
Schedule of Fees is amended to read as follows:
SCHEDULE OF FEES
(GRADING)
A fee of $5.00 will be charged as a permit issuance fee for
each building permit issued.

Permit: $400 plus $20 for each 10,000 cubic yards or
fraction thereof over 100,00 cubic yards.
Plan Check: $200 plus $10 for each 10,000 cubic yards
or fraction thereof over 100,000 cubic yards.
SECTION 3. Effective Date.
This is an Urgency Ordinance to preserve the health,
safety and welfare of the City of San Juan Capistrano, and shall,
accordingly, become effective July 1, 1978. The reasons for the
urgency are that, on July 1, 1978, the City of San Juan Capistrano
will undertake the full responsibility for the issuance of grading
permits within the City limits; a fee schedule reflecting the
current cost of providing such services is necessary to preserve
and maintain the fiscal well-being of the City.
SECTION 4. Clerk's Certification.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and cause same to be posted in the duly designated
posting places within the City of San Juan Capistrano within
fifteen (15) days after its passage.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of
June 1978 , by the following vote, to wit:
