ORDINANCE NO. 355
REZONE 78-5 (LASHBROOK/MANSELL)
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO,
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP
ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 293 BY PREZONING
PROPERTY CURRENTLY DESIGNATED COUNTY OF ORANGE,
A-1 (AGRICULTURAL) DISTRICT TO ES (SMALL ESTATE)
DISTRICT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Findings.
(1) The prezoning is necessary and desirable to apply
City zoning to property being annexed to the City
as part of the approved Mogan Annexation.
(2) The City's Environmental Review Board has carried
out all requirements of the California Environmental
Quality Act for the project in its review of
Rezone 78-5, has determined that it will not have
a significant impact on the environment, and has
granted the project a negative declaration.
(3) The proposed prezoning is consistent with the 1.2
Low Density land use designation on the General
Plan Composite Land Use Map and is otherwise
consistent with the goals and policies of the
General Plan Elements.
(4) The use of the subject properties will conform to
the regulations of Ordinance No. 293 (Land Use
Management Code).
SECTION 2. Zoning.
'The Official Zoning Map heretofore adopted on
September 17, 1975 by Ordinance No. 293 is hereby amended by
prezoning Assessor's Parcels 650-011-09 and 650-011-23, designated
herein as Rezone 78-5 and more particularly identified on Exhibit
"A", attached hereto, from County of Orange zoning A-1
(Agricultural) to City zoning ES (Small Estate).
SECTION 3. Effective Date.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force 30 days
after its passage.
SECTION 4. Clerk's Certification.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and cause same to be posted in the duly designated
posting places within the City of San Juan Capistrano within 15
days after its passage.

June 1 1978, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Hausdorfer, Schwartze, Thorpe,
Buchheim and Mayor Friess
