REPEALING URGENCY ORDINANCES NOS. 639 AND 641 (URGENCY)
AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN
CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA, REPEALING URGENCY ORDINANCES
639 AND 641 ESTABLISHING ZONING MORATORIUM (URGENCY)
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Interim Urgency Ordinance 639 on
December 6, 1988, for the purpose of implementing Measure X; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Urgency Ordinance 641, extending
Urgency Ordinance 639 through July 11, 1989; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to terminate the moratorium established
by these Ordinances.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO,
CALIFORNIA, HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Ordinances 639 and 641 Repealed.
Urgency Ordinances Nos. 639 and 641 are hereby repealed in their entirety.
SECTION 2. Findings.
This Urgency Ordinance is enacted pursuant to Government Code Section
65858 and is based upon the finding that the City Council determines that it is no longer
necessary to create a moratorium period within which to evaluate proposed projects for
their compatibility with Measure X.
SECTION 3. Effective Date.
This Urgency Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately.
SECTION 4. City Clerk's Certification.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and cause the
same to be published once as required by law and posted at the duly designated posting
places within the City of San Juan Capistrano within fifteen (15) days after its passage.
