SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO CITY COUNCIL
SPECIAL MEETING
BUSINESS SESSION:
Mayor Allevato called the Special Meeting of the City Council of the
City of San Juan Capistrano to order at 10:01 a.m. in the City Council Chamber.
ROLL CALL
COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Laura Freese, Derek Reeve, Joan Taylor,
Mayor pro tem Kramer, and Mayor Allevato
COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: None
ORAL COMMUNICATIONSICLOSED SESSION PUBLIC COMMENTS:
• David Soft, City resident, informed the City Council of his work to stabilize the
Capistrano Villas; and felt that the City and non-profit organizations could assist in
the rehabilitation the Capistrano Villas by developing first time homebuyer and rental
subsidy programs.
CLOSED SESSION (610.85)
A Closed Session was held for the following purposes, as authorized by statute:
a. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957, the City Council considered the
appointment or employment of a City Manager.
b. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6, the City Council conferred with its
labor negotiators (City Council Committee) as to salary, compensation and terms of
employment of an unrepresented employee. The affected unrepresented employee
is the City Manager.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF CLOSED SESSION ACTIONS: No reportable actions took
place in Closed Session.
ADJOURNMENT.
There being no further business, Mayor Allevato adjourned the meeting to Tuesday,
May 3, 2011, at 5:00 p.m. for Closed Session and 6:00 p.m. for a public Business
Session, in the City Council Chamber.
