SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO CITY COUNCIL
SPECIAL MEETING
Mayor Nielsen called the Special Meeting of the City Council to order at
4:07 p.m. in the City Council Chamber.
ROLL CALL
COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Sam Allevato, Tom Hribar, Laura Freese,
Mayor pro tem Dr. Londres Uso and Mayor Nielsen
COUNCIL MEMBERS/DIRECTORS ABSENT: None
PUBLIC COMMENT:
Item A- Lennie DeCaro, City resident, submitted an e-mail on July 20, 2009, asking the
Council to hold further negotiations with open space deals until the residents can have
the opportunity to voice their concerns.
Item B- Stacy Baumann Tran, City resident, would like to see the City/CRA agency
purchase and keep the Pacifica San Juan property as open space.
CLOSED SESSION (610.85)
A Closed Session was held for the following purposes, as authorized by statute:
a. Pursuant to Government Code section 54956.8, the City Council conferred with
real property negotiators (City Manager and Open Space Finance
Sub -Committee) regarding the price and terms of payment for acquisition for real
property described as APN 125-172-07 and APN 125-172-17, generally located
west of La Pata and south of Ortega Highway. The property owner is Rancho
Mission Viejo (RMV).
b. Pursuant to Government Code section 54956.8, the City Council conferred with
real property negotiators (Interim City Manager and Assistant City Manager)
regarding the price and terms of payment for possible acquisition of vacant real
property described as the Pacifica San Juan Project, Tract Map Nos. 14196,
15609, 15887, 16747, 16750, 16751, and 16752, generally located at the
southern end of the City limits, east of Interstate 5.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF CLOSED SESSION ACTIONS: There was no reportable action
' taken during closed session.

ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business, Mayor Nielsen adjourned the meeting at 10:30 p.m. to
Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 4:30 p.m. for Closed Session and 6:30 p.m. for the
business session, in the City Council Chambers.
