SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO CITY COUNCIL
ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
Mayor Nielsen called the Special Meeting of the City Council to order at
3:02 p.m. in the City Council Chamber.
ROLL CALL
COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Sam Allevato, Tom Hribar, Laura Freese,
Mayor pro tem Dr. Londres Uso and Mayor Nielsen
COUNCIL MEMBERSIDIRECTORS ABSENT: None
PUBLIC COMMENT: None
CLOSED SESSION (610.85)
A Closed Session was held for the following purposes, as authorized by statute:
a. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(c) the City Council conferred with legal
counsel pertaining to the commencement of litigation involving one potential item.
b. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957, the City Council considered the
appointment or employment of a City Manager.
C. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6, the City Council conferred with its
labor negotiators (Human Resources Manager and City Council Committee) as to
salary and terms of employment of an unrepresented employee. The affected
unrepresented employee is the City Manager.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF CLOSED SESSION ACTIONS:
Omar Sandoval, City Attorney announced that the City Council authorized the City Attorney to
negotiate a contract amendment with ,toe Tait for services as Interim City Manager.

There being no further business, Mayor Nielsen adjourned the meeting to Tuesday,
June 30, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. for Closed Session and 5:00 p.m. for a Joint
City Council/Community Redevelopment Agency/Planning Commission Workshop
Mission Inn Hotel Project, in the City Council Chambers.
