(c) Mayor Chermak proposed that an ordinance be drafted pursuant
to payment of City Councilmen of the City of San Juan Capistrano.
City Attorney to present tentative ordinance to be read in full
at the next regular meeting.
RECOMMENDATIONS AND REPORTS
(a) City Administrator, Ernest A. Thompson
Will have report at next regular meeting on City Managers' Con-
ference which he is to attend this coming week.
(b) City Engineer, Jack Y. Kubota
(1) Made presentation regarding undergrounding power lines for
San Juan Hills Country Club. There was clarification and
approval of the design as posed by the utility company for
undergrounding in connection with the improvements adjacent
to San Juan Hills Country Club.
(2) Advised he and Director of Public Works had met with pro-
ject coordinator and contractor of Presbyterian Church
regarding basis of design for road. Church to proceed with
plans for driveway.
(3) Map recorded on DL 67-103 (Keystone Investment Co.) for
Phillips 66 service station.
(c) Councilman Bathgate
Inquired as to status of petition for 1911 Act on Del Obispo
Street. City Administrator stated initial contact has been
made but there are many variables to which the improvement
section may be designed and that further clarification is neces-
sary to be obtained from the proponents and the City Engineer
to give specific direction and intent in the composition of the
formal petition.
(d) Councilman Buchheim
Asked when matter of signalization of Camino Capistrano and
Ortega Highway was going to bid, as he would like to see this
matter have top priority. City Engineer stated he has arranged
meeting to determine street lighting orientation, and acquiring
of right of way easement from the Mission and lessee of Mission
property for curb at intersection corners. Hopes to get job
finished before summer season.
