The meeting was called to order at 3:05 PM by Mayor Pro Tem Antonio M. Olivare:.
The pledge of allegiance was recited.
The Deputy City Clerk called the roll. Councilmen present: William A. Bathgate,
Carl E. Buchheim, Marco F. Forster and Antonio M. (Tony) Olivares. Absent: Mayor
Don Durnford.
A memorandum was presented by Director of Finance, Harold L. Albert, the text
as follows:
"Under the terms of the "Joint Powers Agreement" with the Capistrano Beach
Sanitary District dated November 27, 1963, which provides payment of the
base assessment rate imposed by the Capistrano Beach Sanitary District plus
15% for compensation for services rendered. The base tax rate imposed by
Capistrano Beach Sanitary District for fiscal year 1966/67 is $0.6363 or a
reduction in the fate from fiscal year 1965/66 of $0.0737.
Therefore, as provided by the "Joint Powers Agreement", it is suggested that
the Capistrano Beach Maintenance District #1 tax rate be imposed at $0.7317
($0.6363 x 15%) per $100.00 assessed valuation."
Councilman Buchheim offered a resolution that the tax rate be imposed at
$0.7317 per $100.00 assessed valuation on Capistrano Beach Maintenance District #5..
The resolution was passed, approved and adopted by a unanimous vote.
The meeting adjourned at 3:08 PM.
