REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING - CITY COUNCIL- CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
1. Meeting Called to order: 7:04 P.M.
2. The Meeting opened with the pledge of allegiance.
3. Roll Call: Bathgate, Chermak, Gammell, Thorpe, Forster. All present.
4. Council adjourned to a Personnel Executive Session at 7:06 P.M. for a private
hearing requested by Mr. Ernest A. Thompson.
5. Council reconvened to a regular adjourned meeting at 8:14 P.M.
Personnel
Mr. Thompson submitted a letter of resignation with an effective date of
November 30, 1970. Councilman Chermak moved to recognize acceptance of the letter
of resignation from Mr. Thompson and further moved that Council accept his resigna-
tion with an effective date of November 30, 1970. Councilman Thorpe seconded,
carried unanimously and so ordered.
Mayor Forster, with Council consent, appointed Councilman Bathgate and
Chermak to draft a resolution of recognition for consideration at the next
regular meeting.
Mayor Forster, with Council consent, directed the City Attorney to prepare
a resolution for consideration with respect to utilization of Mr. Thompson
as a consultant.
6. Master Plan of Air Transportation:
(a) Council discussion revealed that familiarization required prior to
decision making. Urged each member to read the Phase II report.
7. Mayor Forster spoke of Sanitary Disposal contract with Truman Smith, and
the desire for fee escalation
8. Adjournment: 8:39 P.M.
City Administrator to investigate.
