ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO,, CALIFORNIA
The Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council was called to
order by Mayor Weathers at 7:00 P.M. in the City Council Chamber.
ROLL CALL: COUNCILMEN_PRESENT: James K. Weathers, Mayor

Councilman Douglas B. Nash
COUNCILMEN ABSENT: Councilman Roy L. Byrnes
STAFF PRESENT: James S. Mocalis, City Manager; John O'Sullivan,
Director of Administrative Services; William D. Murphy; Director
of Public Works/City Engineer; Larry Lawrence, Assistant Planner;
Tom Baker, Recreation Coordinator.
1975-76 PROPOSED BUDGET AND
FISCAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICES PROGRAM
Council continued their discussion of the proposed 1975-76 City
budget, as follows:
PARKS AND RECREATION FEES (ALTO CAPISTRANO PARKSITE)
Council directed that the budgeted expenditure for the Alto
Capistrano parksite be changed from $175,000 to $75,000, as shown
on Page 87.
Council discussed alternate ways of financing the proposed Alto
Capistrano parksite. Staff was directed to investigate the
feasibility of creating a park assessment district.
GENERAL FUND - CAPITAL AND OTHER PROJECTS
Council directed that $10,000 be added -to the Generwi''Fund,
"Capital and Other Projects" Account for cultural and historical
preservation reserve, as shown on Page 7.
RECESS AND RECONVENE
Council recessed at 8:30 P.M. and reconvened at 8:45 P.M.
PARKS AND RECREATION FEES
Parks and Recreation Committee member Harry Schrey addressed the
Council and indicated that if the Alto Capistrano parksite were to
be eliminated by the Council, consideration should be given to
funding those projects shown on Page 87, "Cultural, Environmental &
Parks," which were deleted for lack of funding.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business before the Council, the meeting
was adjourned at 9:50 P.M. to the next meeting date of Wednesday,
August 27, 1975, at 7:00 P.M. in the City Council Chamber.
