ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA
The Adjourned Regular Meeting of the,City Council of the City of
San -Juan Capistrano, California, was called to order by Mayor -
Heckscher at 7:22 P.M. in the City Council Chamber., followed by
the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
ROLL CALL PRESENT: Yvon 0. Heckscher, Mayor
Kenneth E. Friess, Mayor pro tem
Richard D. McDowell, Councilman
Douglas B. Nash, Councilman
John B. Sweeney, Councilman
ABSENT:
None
STAFF PRESENT: James S. Mocalis, City Manager; William D. Murphy,
Director of Public Works/City Engineer; E. Patricia Hector, Minute
Secretary.
REVIEW OF 1977-82 PRELIMINARY BUDGET
PUBLIC VORKS -DEPARTMENT
(24) Council -conducted the review of the preliminary budget for the
Public Works Department commencing with Page 63 and continuing
through Page 137.
CIVIC CENTER COMMITTEE
(34) Council referred to the Civic Center Committee Minutes of April 13,
1977, and in particular the Committee's recommendation regarding
the Capistrano High School property as a location for a County
Library site. Council modified the Committee's recommendation to
allow for a more flexible use of the property and directed the
City Manager to negotiate with the Capistrano Unified School
District for a site for the Library and for the use of the Capistrano
High School property. Staff -was further directed to investigate the
costs of constructing tennis courts.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business before the Council, the meeting was
adjourned at 9:25 P.M. to the next regular meeting date of Wednesday,
May 4, 1977, at 7:00 P.M. in the City Council.Chamber.
