ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA
An Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of
San Juan Capistrano, California, was held at the E1 Adobe de
Capistrano Patio Room, 31891 Camino Capistrano, commencing at
7:30 P.M.
ROLL CALL PRESENT: Gary L. Hausdorfer, Mayor
Phillip R. Schwartze, Mayor pro tem
Anthony L. Bland, Councilman
Lawrence F. Buchheim, Councilman
Kenneth E. Friess, Councilman
ABSENT: None
TWENTIETH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
(34) Mayor Hausdorfer introduced past Mayors and guests. Fifth
District Supervisor, Thomas F. Riley presented the City with
a Resolution adopted on March 31, 1981, congratulating the
City upon 20 years of Cityhood. Howard Seelye, District
representative of Congressman Badham, read portions of the
Congressional Record dated April 7, 1981, acknowledging the
City's past and the 20th anniversary of incorporation.
Pamela Hallan made a slide presentation entitled, "Happy
Birthday San Juan."
Mayor Hausdorfer addressed San Juan Capistrano's past.
OATH OF OFFICE AND PRESENTATION OF CERTIFICATES OF ELECTION
(32) The City Clerk administered the Oath of Office to Mayor Pro
Tempore, Lawrence F. Buchheim and to Mayor Phillip R. Schwartze,
and presented Certificates of Election.
Mayor Schwartze then addressed San Juan Capistrano's future.
