The motion carried by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Friess, Hausdorfer, Bland,
Schwartze, and Mayor Buchheim
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
The Resolution sets forth the following findings:
(1) There are no special circumstances applicable to
the property which do not apply generally to other
properties in the neighborhood. This property is
no different than adjacent properties.
(2) The variance is not necessary for the preservation
of privileges enjoyed by other properties in the
vicinity and under identical zoning
classification. No other resident of the City has
received a variance approval to modify the garage
in such manner so as to reduce the required number
of parking spaces.
(3) The granting of the variance will contribute to a
property development which may be materially
detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to
the property improvements in the vicinity in that
it could contribute to the existing parking and
street congestion problem.
Council urged the residents to resolve the problem in a
manner compatible with regulations.
