ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA
The Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano,
California, was called to order by Mayor Friess at 9:00 p.m., in the City Council
Chamber for purposes of conducting a Closed Session relative to pending litigation.
ROLL CALL PRESENT: Kenneth E. Friess, Mayor
Lawrence F. Buchheim, Mayor pro tem
Gary L. Hausdorfer, Councilman
Gil Jones, Councilman
Jeff Vasquez, Councilman
ABSENT: None
STAFF PRESENT: Stephen B. Julian, City Manager; John R. Shaw, City Attorney;
George Scarborough, Assistant City Manager.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
1. TRAIL DAYS PROCLAMATION (610.40
Ilse Byrnes, Chairman of the Equestrian Commission, requested preparation of a
Proclamation recognizing State -Wide Trail Days in April.
2. 43RD ANNUAL CALIFORNIA, PACIFIC AND SOUTHWEST
Mike Darnold, 26022 Avenida Mariposa, cited his attendance at the conference and
noted he had been impressed that awards had been won by City personnel. He
further noted that a task force would meet on March 13th relative to youth services
for the hispanic community.
CLOSED SESSION
Council recessed to a Closed Session at 9:05 p.m., for discussion of on-going litigation
relative to Romer versus City and Maurer versus City, and reconvened at 1.0:10 p.m.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business before the Council, the meeting was adjourned at 10:10
p.m., to the next regular meeting date of Tuesday, March 19, 1991, at 7:00 p.m., in the
City Council Chamber.
