ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA
The Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano, California,
being held jointly with the Community Redevelopment Agency, was called to order by Mayor Pro
Tem Hart at 4:40 p.m., in the City Council Chamber, to convene a Closed Session,
ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Wyatt Hart, Mayor pro tem

Collett Campbell, Council Member (by electronic means only)
STAFF PRESENT: George Scarborough, City Manager; Richard K. Denhalter, City Attorney; Dawn
Schanderl, Deputy City Clerk.

Mr. Denhalter stated that during the closed session and regarding closed session topics only, there
may be a teleconference call with an absent member of the City Council, pursusant to Government
Code Section 54953, not for the purpose of voting but for the purpose of discussing and giving
guidance to the Council and to the City Manager with regard to the subject matter of the closed
session.
Council convened in Closed Session at 4:41 p.m., for the following purpose, as authorized by statute:
Conference with Legal Counsel - Anticipated Litigation, pursuant to Government Code
Section 54956.9(b), the initiation of litigation in 2 cases and pursuant to Government Code
Section 54956.9(c), the initiation of litigation in 3 cases..
The Deputy City Clerk was excused from the Closed Session and the meeting reconvened at 5:50
p.m.
Mr. Denhalter advised action was taken by the City Council with respect to the County of Orange's
application for changes at the Prima Deshecha Landfill site. The action passed with Council Member

Campbell and Mayor Nash absent. The Council negotiated terms of a Settlement Agreement which
will be on the September 19, 1995, agenda for ratification by the Council. Mr. Denhalter stated a
press release will be issued describing the terms and conditions of the proposed agreement.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business before the Council, the meeting was adjourned at 5:51 p.m. to the
next regular meeting date of Tuesday, September 19, 1995, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council
Chambers.
