SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA
The Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano, California was called to
order by Mayor Pro Tem Hart at 8:04 a.m., in the City Council Chamber, to convene a Closed
Session related to anticipated litigation and the potential for initiation of litigation.
ROLL PRESENT: Carolyn Nash, Mayor (arrived at 8:06 a.m.)
Wyatt Hart, Mayor pro tem
Collene Campbell, Council Member
Gil Jones, Council Member
David Swerdlin, Council Member
ABSENT: None
STAFF PRESENT: George Scarborough, City Manager; Richard K. Denhalter, City Attorney;
Cynthia L. Pendleton, Administrative Services Director; Cheryl Johnson, City Clerk.

Council recessed to a Closed Session at 8:05 a.m. for the following purposes, as authorized by
statute:
Conference with Legal Counsel - Anticipated Litigation, pursuant to Government Code
Section 54956.9(b), for significant exposure to litigation in 2 cases and Government Code
Section 95456.9(c), the initiation of litigation in 2 cases.
The City Clerk was excused from the Closed Session and the meeting reconvened at 9:25 a.m.
Mr. Denhalter advised there was no action to report on the item.

There being no further business before the Council, the meeting was adjourned at 9:25 a.m. to the
