SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA
The Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano, California, was
called to order by Mayor Campbell at 4:06 p.m. in the City Council Chamber
ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Collene Campbell, Mayor
Wyatt Hart, Mayor pro tem
Diane Bathgate, Council Member
John Greiner, Council Member
David M. Swerdlin, Council Member
ABSENT: None
STAFF PRESENT: George Scarborough, City Manager; Cheryl Johnson, City Clerk; William
M. Huber, Engineering and Building Director; Thomas Tomlinson, Planning Director.

CONSIDERATION OF PROJECT ALTERNATIVES- LOS RIOS PARKING LOT

Written Communications:
Report dated June 20, 2000, and resubmitted July 3, 2000, from the Engineering and
Building Director.
The Council recessed at 4:07 p.m. for a field trip to the Community Redevelopment
Agency -owned Recreational Vehicle Storage Lot to review the three concept locations
and configurations for a proposed 60 -space public parking lot. The meeting reconvened
at 4:15 p.m at the Storage Lot. The Engineering and Building Director led the meeting,
pointing out the three proposed locations and the advantages and disadvantages
associated with each.
The meeting reconvened in the City Council Chamber at 4:45 p.m. with Council Member
Hart absent. Mayor Campbell advised that this item would be tentatively scheduled for
Council consideration at the August 1 st meeting.

ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business before the Council, the meeting was adjourned at 4:53 p.m.
to the next regular meeting date of Tuesday, July 5, 2000, at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council
Chambers.
