SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
Mayor Soto called the special meeting of the City Council of the City of San Juan
Capistrano, California, to order at 4:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber.
ROLL CALL
COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Diane Bathgate, David M. Swerdlin, Mayor pro tem
Wyatt Hart, and Mayor Joe Soto.
COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: Council Member John S. Gelff
STAFF PRESENT: David Adams, City Manager, Cynthia L. Russell, Interim Assistant
City Manager/Administrative Services Director; John Shaw, City Attorney
CLOSED SESSION (610.85)
A Closed Session was held for the following purpose, as authorized by statute:
1. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957, the City Council evaluated the
performance of the City Manager.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF CLOSED SESSION ACTIONS: None
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Mayor Soto adjourned the meeting at 5:30 p.m.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
The City of San Juan Capistrano, California, hereby gives notice that a Special Meeting
will be held on Tuesday of February 3,2004 at 4:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber,
32400 Paseo Adelanto, San Juan Capistrano, California.
The purpose of this meeting is to begin Closed Session at 4:00 pm, rather than at 5:00
p.m., when regularly scheduled.
