SPECIAL MEETING
' Mayor Taylor called the April 20, 2021, Special Meeting of the City Council to order at
3:08 p.m., in the City Council Chamber.
ROLL CALL
COUNCIL MEMBERS: Mayor John Taylor, Mayor Pro Tem Derek Reeve, and Council
Members Howard Hart, Troy Bourne and Sergio Farias (joined the City Council meeting
shortly after commencement).
COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: None.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS/CORRESPONDENCE/PUBLIC COMMENT ON CLOSED
SESSION ITEMS: None.
CLOSED SESSION (610.85)
A Closed Session was held for the following purposes, as authorized by statute:
a. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9 (a), (d)(2), the
City Council conferred with Legal Counsel to discuss anticipated litigation —
significant exposure to litigation (6 items).
b. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d) (4), the City Council
' conferred with Legal Counsel to discuss initiation of litigation (2 items).
ANNOUNCEMENT OF CLOSED SESSION ACTIONS: Mayor Taylor recused from one
of the initiation of litigations listed under Closed Session Item B due to proximity to his
residence.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business, Mayor Taylor adjourned the meeting to Tuesday,
Apri1,,?0, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. for a Public Business Session, in the City Council Chamber.
