ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Adjourned Regular Meeting of the Board of Directors of the San Juan Capistrano Community
Redevelopment Agency held jointly with the City Council, was called to order by Pro Tem Hart at
4:40 p.m., in the City Council Chamber, to convene a Closed Session.
RI PRESENT: David Swerdlin, Chairman
Wyatt Hart, Director
Gil Jones, Director .
Collene Campbell, Vice Chairman (via electronic means only)
Carolyn Nash, Director (via electronic means only)
STAFF PRESENT: George Scarborough, Executive Director; Richard K. Denhalter, Legal Counsel;
Dawn Schanderl, Deputy Agency Secretary.
Mr. Denhalter stated that during the closed session, and regarding closed session topics only, there
may be a teleconference call with an absent member of the City Council, not for the purpose of voting
but for the purpose of discussing and giving guidance to the Council and to the City Manager with
regard to the subject matter of the closed session.
The Board convened in Closed Session at 4:41 p.m., for the following purpose, as authorized by
statute:
Conference with Real Property Negotiator pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8,
for the property known as the Capistrano Depot, 26701 Verdugo Street, with negotiating
party Guy Edwards, to consider price and terms of payment.
2. Conference with Legal Counsel for Existing Litigation, pursuant to Government Code Section
54956.9(a), for the case known as Romer vs Gresham.
3. Conference with Legal Counsel - Anticipated Litigation, pursuant to Government Code
Section 54956.9(b), the initiation of litigation in 2 cases and pursuant to Government Code
Section 54956.9(c), the initiation of litigation in 2 cases..
The Deputy City Clerk was excused from the Closed Session and the meeting reconvened at 5:50
p.m.

Mr. Denhalter advised that with regard to closed session item 41, the City Council approved the
discontinuance of escrow on the transaction involving the Capistrano Depot and the acceptance of
new offers. The motion carried with Council Member Campbell and Mayor Nash absent. Mr.
Denhalter advised that there was no action to report on items #2 and #3.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 5:51 p.m. to the next
regular meeting date of Tuesday, September 19, 1995, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.

OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA, HEREBY GIVES
NOTICE THAT A SPECIAL MEETING WILL BE HELD ON SEPTEMBER 13,
1995, AT 12:00 NOON IN THE SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO CITY COUNCIL
CHAMBER FOR THE PURPOSE OF HOLDING A CLOSED SESSION
REGARDING THE FOLLOWING:
1. Conference with Real Property Negotiator pursuant to Government Code Section
54956.8, for property located at the Capistrano Depot, 26701 Verdugo Street, with
negotiation party, Guy Edwards, to consider price and terms of payment.
2. Conference with Legal Counsel - Anticipated Litigation, pursuant to Government
Code Section 54956.9(b), for significant exposure to litigation in 2 cases and
Government Code Section 95456.9(c), the initiation of litigation in 2 cases.
