88-0315_CRA_Minutes_Regular MeetingMARCH 15, 1988 REGULAR MEETING OF THE SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY BOARD OF DIRECTORS The Regular Meeting of the Board of Directors of the San Juan Capistrano Community Redevelopment Agency was called to order by Chairman Hausdorfer at 8:35 p.m., in the City Council Chamber. ROLL CALL PRESENT: Gary L. Hausdorfer, Chairman Kenneth E. Friess, Vice Chairman Anthony L. Bland, Director Lawrence F. Buchheim, Director Phillip R. Schwartze, Director ABSENT: None STAFF PRESENT: Stephen B. Julian, Executive Director; Thomas G. Merrell, Deputy Director; Mary Ann Hanover, Agency Secretary; Robert G. Boone, Finance Officer; Glenn Southard, Assistant City Manager; John R. Shaw, City Attorney; William D. Murphy, Director of Public Works; Thomas L. Baker, Director of Community Services; Cheryl Johnson, Recording Secretary, MINUTES Regular Meeting of March 1, 1988: It was moved by Director Schwartze, seconded by Director Friess that the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 1, 1988, be approved as submitted. The motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Directors Schwartze, Friess, Bland, Buchheim, and Chairman Hausdorfer NOES: None ABSENT: None ORAL COMMUNICATIONS 1. BUCHHEIM FIELD ATHLETIC FACILITIES (600.30) Vicki Donaho, 28001 Via del Cerro, President of the San Juan Capistrano Little League, advised that the organization was interested in working with the City to develop a sports complex which would include baseball and soccer fields. -1- 3115/89 LZ BOARD ACTIONS 1. APPROVAL OF WARRANTS (300.30) It was moved by Director Schwartze, seconded by Director Bland, and unanimously carried to approve the List of Demands dated February 25, 1988, Warrant Nos. 933- 950, in the total amount of $31,376.22. 2. SCOPE OF WORK (BUCHHEIM FIELD ATHLETIC FACILITIES) (600.30) Written Communications: Report dated March 15, 1988, from the Deputy Director, forwarding a proposed Scope of Work for the development of a Comprehensive Master Plan for Buchheim Field and San Juan Elementary School. Buchheim Field will be developed as a major recreational facility for the City, and the existing San Juan Elementary School facilities and support uses will be reoriented toward Buchheim Field. The Scope of Work was submitted for comments or identification of any additional issues. With the consensus of the Board, Chairman Hausdorfer ordered the report received and filed. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 8:41 p.m., to the next regular meeting date of Tuesday, April 5, 1988, at 7:00 p.m., in the City Council Chamber.
