DEMOLITION: The Archdiocese of Orange has requested approval of the
demolition of a 450 square foot wood shed structure located behind the Garcia
Adobe on a property that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places
(NRNP) and the City's Inventory of Historic and Cultural Landmarks (INCL), at
31871 Camino Capistrano,eg nerally located 600 -feet south of Ortega Highway on
the west side of Camino Capistrano, APN 121-150-30, designated as 3.1 General
Commercial on the General Plan Land Use Map and Town Center (TC) on the
City's Official Zoning Map. (APN 121-150-30) (Applicant: Darcy Papp, Birtcher
Anderson Properties, Inc.)(Project Manager: Nick Taylor, Associate Planner).

Commissioner Porter made a motion, seconded by Vice -Chair Banda, to approve
the proposed project as recommended by staff. The motion passed by a 4-1 vote.
AYES: Chair deHaan, Vice -Chair Banda, Commissioners Gildea, and Porter.
NOES: Commissioner Siegel

CONSIDERATION OF CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (CIP) NO. 07111: to
construct a retaining wall along the west side of El Camino Real adjacent to the
Capistrano Unified School District's (CUSID) property at 31422 Camino Capistrano.
(Applicant: City of San Juan Capistrano) (Project Manager: Khoon Tan, Senior Civil
Engineer).
The Commission provided comments to be forwarded to the City Council.
