CULTURAL HERITAGE COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING

ORGANIZATION:
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Secretary Taylor called the
Regular Meeting of the Cultural Heritage
Commission of the City of San Juan Capistrano to order at 4:30 p.m. in the City
Council Chamber.
2. ROLL CALL:
Commissioners Present:
Nathan Banda, Chair
Rhonda DeHaan, Vice -Chair
Mechelle Lawrence -Adams
Lorie Porter
Commissioners Absent:
Christie Smead
STAFF PRESENT:
Charlie View, Development Services Director
Nick Taylor, Associate Planner

ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None.
C.
CONSENT CALENDAR:
1. Approved the Draft May 26, 2015,
Meeting Minutes. Approved by a 4-0 vote.
D.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
1. Continued Consideration of the Cultural Heritaqe Commission Bylaws (Project
Manager: Nick Taylor, Associate Planner).
Mr. Taylor presented draft Bylaws. The Commission discussed revising the
draft Bylaws.
Adoption of Motion
Commissioner Lawrence -Adams made a motion, seconded by Commissioner
Banda, to continue consideration to the July 28, 2015 meeting, and to revise
the draft Bylaws pursuant to the discussion. The motion passed by a 4-0 vote.
AYES: Chair Porter, Vice -Chair DeHaan, Commissioners Lawrence -
Adams, and Banda.

2. Consideration of establishment of Cultural Heritaoe Commission's 2015-2016
Goals (Project Manager: Nick Taylor, Associate Planner).
Adoption of Motion
Commissioner Banda made a motion, seconded by Vice -Chair DeHaan, to
continue consideration to the July 26, 2015 meeting. The motion passed by a 4-0
vote.
AYES: Chair Porter, Vice -Chair DeHaan, Commissioners Lawrence -
Adams, and Banda.
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
E. NEW BUSNESS: None
F. PUBLIC HEARINGS: None
G. COMMITTEE/STAFF COMMENTS: Mr. Taylor, reminded the Commission to leave
their Cultural Heritage Commission binders for the next meeting.
H. ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business Chair Porter adjourned the meeting at 5:43 p.m. to
Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at 4:30 p.m. in the City Council Chamber.
