approved the subject minutes with some revisions by a 4-0 vote.

F. PUBLIC HEARINGS:
1. Consideration of a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) 14-002, South Coast Christian
Assembly; a request for approval to add a preschool use for a maximum of 145
students in conjunction with the existing church use located at 31501 Avenida Los
Cerritos (Assessor Parcel Number 650-151-12)(Applicant: Tom Westerfield) (Project Manager:
Nick Taylor, Associate Planner).
Adoption of Resolution
Vice-Chair Neely made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Chaffee to adopt the
following resolution:
PC RESOLUTION NO. 14-06-10-01, CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (CUP) 14-002
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN
CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA APPROVING A REQUEST TO ADD A PRESCHOOL USE FOR
A MAXIMUM OF 145 STUDENTS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE EXISTING CHURCH USE
LOCATED AT 31501 AVENIDA LOS CERRITOS (ASSESSORS PARCEL NUMBER: 650-
151-12) (SOUTH COAST CHRISTIAN ASSEMBLY)
The motion passed by a 4-0 vote.
AYES: Chairman Sheldon Cohen, Commissioners Tim Neely, Roy Nunn, and
Evan Chaffee.
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
G. STAFF & COMMISSION COMMENTS
Mr. View briefed the Planning Commission on the upcoming Scoping Meeting for the Shops of
Capistrano on Monday, June 16, 2014 at the Library I Sala and the upcoming Special City
Council Meeting for the Urban Village project on Thursday, June 19, 2014 in the City Council
Chambers.
H. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the Chairman adjourned at 7:00p.m. to the next regularly
scheduled meeting for Tuesday, June 24, at 6:30 pm in the Council Chambers.
