The requested amendment is only to extend the term of the existing Development Agreement. This project has been reviewed in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the City's Environmental Administrator has determined that the proposed Amendment will not result in any new or different impacts that were not identified in the certified Environmental Report (EIR) for the Plaza Banderas Hotel project, certified by City Council Resolution 10-10-05-05. On April 26, 2016, the Planning Commission adopted a resolution recommending City Council approval of a "First Amendment to the Development Agreement" thereby granting a 1-year extension to the term of the agreement from August 3, 2016 to August 3, 2017. Those desiring to be heard in favor of, or opposition to, this item will be given an opportunity to do so during such hearing.
