Re: renewal of the Blenheim lease-Agenda Item 11/18/2014 014 Please do not renew this lease. The lease benefits equestrians and the promoter but it does not allow residents to use the park during the year. It is exclusive for the equestrian community yet we tax payers, pay for this park with our tax dollars. Many of the equestrians do not live in San Juan Capistrano. Each homeowner in SJC pays $36 for every $100,000 of their assessed property value to pay for this "open space". I do not want to pay for a park I am not allowed to use. The average home in San Juan Capistrano is 699,000. There are 34,731 residents in San Juan Capistrano. Using that as an average each homeowner pays 216.00 a year for this park. This 216.00 is added to our tax bills and we are not allowed to use this park. So the city collects an approximate $7 40,000.00 a year from residents of San Juan Capistrano for this park right off our tax bill. So please do not renew this lease without removing the tax burden from all homeowners .. This park has become an exclusive place for equestrians paid for by the residents. Meanwhile, we are restricted from using it. Thank you. Donna Fleming 1
