Dear Council Members:
1111812014
As a current property owner and a resident of Sart Tuan Capistrano £or 20 years, i axrr very
much in favor of the renewal of the Blenheim Equisports lewse. The operations they
oversee on the City's property are important in so many ways. The facility provides a
local home to 15-20 weeps of high caliber horse shows that attract consumers and
participants with a high level of discretionary income that significantly benefits the city.
Witb many exhibitors Flom, out of town, the Elenbe:irn horse shrews bring people who stay
in our hotels, dine in cur restaurants a-nd heavily stimulate our economy — something our
City and local store owners treed desperately.
In addition, many of us who live in San Juan enjoy the events held at this facility. We
chose Sara Juan. Capistrano because of its renowned equestrian community, the related
facilities, many of which hosted the 2004 Olympic Trials, and because of the City's rich
history.
The Equestrian events are also very low impact and, due to the nature of the sport, do not
disrupt the peaceful surroundings we all enjoy. Blenheim has been and is stili a good
neighbor for the City of Juan Capistrano. .
I encourage you to please renew this lease for the benefit of the entire community.
Thank you for this support.
Sincerely,
Stephen R. Reid
