Mayor and Council Members:
I am writing as a horse show exhibitor and frequent visitor to the Rancho Mission Viejo Riding
Park.
Please ]seep this facility open for all levels of horse shows.
In addition to showing there, mostly at the county -level shows, I frequently go to spectate at the
larger shows, including the ASPCA Maclay Regionals and the USEF Talent Search West Finals.
I have also attended Olympic Trials for both show jun-iping and dressage at this wonderful
facility.
It is a wonderful facility and an asset to the local, regional; and national horse community. The
footing is good, there is a lot of room to ride and school your horse, and there is an excellent
variety of Local restaurants. I even enjoy sharing it with the soccer and lacrosse events that occur
during some of the county -level shows. It's fabulous to see a facility so well used.
While in town for the day or several days, I eat at the local restaurants, go to Starbucks to try to
get work done, and stop in at markets, drug stores, and gas stations. Have you ever been to Bad
to the Bone during a horse show and counted the number of people in their riding clothes?
