RE: Blenheim Lease: November 18, 2014 City Council Agenda
Dear Honorable Mayor and City Council Members:
I am writing this letter as a San Juan resident who has watched taxes
increase to pay for the riding park property, and as a descendant of the
Forster family who were the previous owners of the Eastern open space.
I don't believe my ancestors would approve of forcing San Juan taxpayers to
pay for property that they are excluded from using.
My ancestors maintained the property as open space. The taxpayers of San
Juan Capistrano were promised open space. We are being taxed for open
space. We deserve to use the open space that was promised to us. Therefore,
please do not renew the Blenheim lease.
Thank you for your consideration.
Ca~1) Grenier
