Resolution Number 16-04-05-01RESOLUTION NO. 16-04-05-01 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 16-02-16- 05, THE CITY'S CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN, TO ADD THE CLASSIFICATION OF ASSISTANT CITY CLERK WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano is authorized and directed under the City's Personnel Rules and Regulations to adopt and amend a Personnel Classification and Compensation Plan in order to administer the City's Personnel Management System; and, WHEREAS, the City authorized Creative Management Solutions, Inc. (CMS) to conduct a job analysis and evaluation, including any recommendation on salary placement of a new classification; and, WHEREAS, based on the study done and recommendations made by CMS, the City desires to amend the Personnel Classification for Deputy City Clerk and revise the Compensation Plan to reclassify the Deputy City Clerk position to Assistant City Clerk and place it in the Management and Professional Employees Association Salary Schedule; and, WHEREAS, the revision to the Salary Schedule is reflected in "Exhibit A." NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano does hereby amend the Management and Professional Employees Salary Schedule to reflect the addition of the Assistant City Clerk classification at Salary Grade 46, authorizes one position, and places the classification in the Management and Professional Employees Association.
