THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, SP3 173 ECIFYING PROCEDURES FOR DEPOSITS DETER- MINING AUTHORIZED SIGNATURES NECESSARY FOR WITHDRAWALS, DECLARING THE URGENCY THEREOF, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE N0.23.�Z0. The City Council of the City of San Juan Capistrano does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. The United California Bank, San Clemente Branch was, by Ordinance No 23 of the City of San Juan Capistrano, designated as the depository for the General Fund of the City of San Juan Capistrano. Said Ordinance No. 23 is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. San Juan Capistrano Bank, San Juan Capistrano, Califo- rnia, is hereby designated as the depository for the General and Speci- al runds of the City of San Juan Capistrano. SECTION 3. All moneys received by the City of San Juan Capistrano, or any of its officers, employees or agents, shall be turned over to the City Clerk or City Treasurer. SECTION 4. The City Clerk or City Treasurer, shall forthwith upon the receipt of any moneys received on behalf of the City of San Juan Ca- pistrano, deposit all such funds in the General Fund of Said City as set forth in Spetion 2 of this Ordinance, unless existing law requires the deposit of said moneys in a special fund. SECTION 5. Any funds received by the City Clerk or City Treasurer whidh, by operation of law or direction of the City Council, are requi- red to be deposited in a Special Fund shall be deposited in such Speci- al Fund as required by law or directed by the City Council. SECTION 6. All checks, drafts and other instruments obligating the City of San Juan Capistrano to pay money shall be signed by the Mayor and the City Treasurer; or by the Mayor pro -tem in the absence of the Mayor; or by the City Clerk, in the absence of the City Treasurer. r SECTION 7. Any officer or employee of the City of San Juan Capis- trano collecting or receiving money belonging to, or for the use of the City shall deposit it immediately in the treasury in the manner, presc- ribed by Ordinance for the use and benefit of the funds to which it be- longs and shall report such d'posits to, and settle with, the City Clerk on each Monday of every week. SECTION 8. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately for the following reasons: 1'7;3 The City Council having found that it is desireable to change its depository for City Funds for the convenience of the officers and empl- oyees of the City by designating a bank located in San Juan Capistrano, it becomes necessary for accounting purposes to have such change of de- pository coincide with the commencementofthe fiscal year on July 1, 1962. SECTION 9. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adopt- ing of this Ordinance by the City Council of the City of San Juan Capi- strano at a regular meeting held on the 11th day of June, 1962, and shall cause the same to be published in the Coastline Dispatch within fifteen days after it3passage.
