ORDINANCE NO. 225
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
_ JUAN CAPISTRANO EXTENDING ORDINANCE NO. 217 FOR A
PERIOD OF AN ADDITIONAL EIGHT MONTHS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 217 heretofore adopted on
January 8, 1973, is hereby extended for an additional eight months
pursuant to Section 65858 of the Government Code. -
SECTION 2. Urgency. This ordinance is an urgency measure
adoptedas an -interim ordinance pursuant to Section 65858 of the
Government Code. The stated reasons for the urgency are that a
good proportion of the developable land in the City of San Juan
Capistrano is situated on hillsides throughout the City; these
hillsides are valuable assets of the community and ;dust be
�- developed to the best interests of the entire community. Therefore,
to preserve and protect the public safety, health and welfare of
thecitizens of San Juan Capistrano, this interim measure is adopted
to regulate the manner in which hillsides shall be developed pending
City Council's investigation, review and adoption of a permanent
ordinance which will provide reasonable regulations for hillside
developments.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall 'certify to the adoption of
this or i.na3' nce and cause the same to be published once in a newspaper
of general circulation in the City of San Juan Capistrano within
(15) days following passage thereof.. ,-

by the following vote, to wit:
